While service interruptions are not anticipated, the company advises customers to store drinking water beforehand and check for clarity before running laundry or dishwashers. If water appears discolored after the work, residents should run cold water taps until the flow clears.
Crews will also be servicing blowoff valves on dead-end water mains. Illinois American Water asks the public to avoid work zones to ensure employee safety. Residents can track specific flushing schedules through their MyWater accounts or by monitoring the company's online customer advisory map for real-time service updates.
