The collaboration ensures that untouched meals from the four-day event are repackaged and distributed to nonprofit partners and residents facing food insecurity. By diverting prepared food from landfills, the project aims to bridge the gap between high-volume hospitality waste and local nutritional needs.
Ellie Hollander, CEO of Meals on Wheels America, noted that the effort aligns with the organization's mission to combat senior hunger on a scalable level. Kiersten Flint, an executive at Caesars Entertainment, added that the partnership integrates corporate sustainability with immediate community support, while Brooke Neubauer, founder of The Just One Project, emphasized that rescuing prepared food provides a vital, ongoing resource for the region’s most vulnerable populations.
