XPPen Marks 21 Years of Digital Art with Global Design Contest

Celebrating two decades of digital innovation, XPPen is launching its "DOODLE THE WORLD" anniversary campaign. The initiative bridges the gap between digital illustration and physical collectibles, headlined by a global design competition in partnership with art toy brand TOP TOY and the release of the new Artist Ultra 14 display.

The centerpiece of the celebration is the Global Art Toy Design Contest, which runs from August 16 through October 16, 2026. Creators are tasked with reimagining Zero, TOP TOY’s signature character, through various design lenses including Null Shell and Fenix Shell concepts. A panel of international creatives—including graffiti artist Katun, illustrator Josephine Rais, and Japanese artist Jun Oson—will evaluate entries based on technical skill and conceptual depth. Winners stand to gain hardware, cash, and the prospect of seeing their work manufactured as physical art toys for global retail distribution.

Beyond the contest, XPPen is expanding its hardware footprint with the August 17 launch of the Artist Ultra 14. Designed for portability and color accuracy, the device aims to facilitate the company's goal of removing barriers for artists working across different environments. Marketing Director Brian Huang noted that the anniversary theme reflects a strategic shift toward blending digital artistry with modern toy culture. As part of the wider campaign, XPPen is hosting a 21-day online engagement event and offering discounts of up to 50% on select products, with further product announcements expected at IFA 2026.
