Sidus Space Reports $166.5 Million Cash Reserve Amid Transition

Sidus Space ended the second quarter of 2026 with a robust $166.5 million in cash, providing the company with a significant financial runway as it shifts focus from technology development to commercializing its LizzieSat spacecraft and proprietary digital mission computing platform.

The Florida-based space technology firm reported a revenue of $583,000 for the quarter, a 54% decline compared to the same period in 2025, which the company attributed to the timing of fixed-price milestone contracts. Despite the drop in revenue, Sidus Space narrowed its net loss to $4.8 million, an improvement of 15% year-over-year.

CEO Carol Craig emphasized that the capital raised during the quarter, including a $100 million offering in May, allows the company to execute its roadmap without compromise. Key operational progress includes the completion of vibration testing on its next-generation LizzieSat and the integration of the Fortis VPX Maxima computing platform. This technology is designed to enable on-board AI inference and autonomous decision-making across space, air, and ground domains. Looking ahead, management aims to convert these technical milestones into recurring revenue streams across defense and intelligence markets.
