Potomac Bank Sweeps Loudoun Financial Service Awards

For the third consecutive year, Potomac Bank has dominated the LoudounNow annual readers' poll, securing top honors in five distinct financial categories. The community-focused institution outperformed local competitors in banking, investment services, and mortgage lending, signaling a continued stronghold in the Loudoun County market for the 2026 cycle.

The bank, which operates as a subsidiary of Potomac Bancshares, Inc., received recognition as the region's favorite for general banking, financial planning, investment services through BCT Investments, and mortgage brokerage. Beyond these wins, bank executive Paul Bice earned a runner-up placement in the individual banker category. This consistent performance in the Loudoun’s Favorites poll underscores the firm’s strategy of maintaining a local presence while offering comprehensive commercial and consumer financial solutions.

Alice P. Frazier, President and CEO of Potomac Bank, attributed the success to the institution's deep-rooted community ties. She noted that the bank’s identity as a locally owned entity allows staff to approach client interactions as neighbors rather than mere transactions. Founded in 1871, the bank—formerly known as the Bank of Charles Town—now manages $981 million in assets across its nine-branch network, spanning West Virginia, Maryland, and Northern Virginia.
