Exelixis Faces Securities Investigation After Revenue Guidance Cut

Exelixis shares tumbled following the company’s decision to lower its full-year 2026 revenue guidance, citing a slower-than-anticipated commercial ramp for its neuroendocrine-tumor business. The move has prompted SueWallSt to launch an investigation into potential securities claims on behalf of investors who suffered financial losses.

The downward revision arrived just weeks after leadership publicly reaffirmed the company’s financial outlook. On May 5, 2026, CEO Michael Morrissey touted the growth of CABOMETYX, describing it as the market leader for neuroendocrine tumors in the oral second-line segment. CFO Christopher Senner echoed this sentiment during the same call, explicitly reiterating the full-year guidance that would soon be retracted.

Following the second-quarter report, which posted revenue of approximately $628.7 million, the company adjusted its projections. Legal firm Levi & Korsinsky is now examining whether management issued materially misleading statements regarding the business’s trajectory. Investors who purchased shares during the period in question are encouraged to evaluate their losses, as the investigation seeks to determine if shareholders were misled by the rapid shift in financial reporting.
