Jordan Yankovich joins Wingstop to lead AI strategy

Jordan Yankovich, a long-standing veteran of Boston Consulting Group, has been appointed Chief AI Officer at Wingstop Restaurants. His move marks a strategic shift for the fast-food chain as it looks to solidify its position as an AI-native brand within an increasingly competitive global hospitality market.

Yankovich arrives at Wingstop following an eight-and-a-half-year tenure at Boston Consulting Group, where he served as Partner and North America Engineering Chapter Lead. Regarding his new role, he expressed enthusiasm for building what he describes as the world’s most AI-native restaurant brand.

The appointment coincides with a period of rapid expansion for Wingstop UK, which currently aims to open 30 new sites across England, Scotland, Wales, and Ireland this year. The company is nearing its 100th UK location with a planned opening in Inverness and has recently secured a market entry agreement for Poland. Despite broader economic headwinds affecting the hospitality sector, Wingstop UK reported a 73% surge in revenue to £216.4 million in 2025. Chris Sherriff, Chief Executive at Wingstop UKI, credited this growth to the brand's focus on differentiated products and memorable customer experiences.
