Fidelity National Financial Posts Strong Q2 Earnings Amid Market Shifts

Fidelity National Financial reported second-quarter 2026 net earnings of $288 million, or $1.08 per diluted share, marking a rise from the $278 million recorded during the same period last year. The results underscore a resilient performance across the company’s title insurance and annuity segments despite lingering pressures from elevated mortgage rates.

The company’s Title Segment proved a major driver of growth, contributing $339 million to the quarterly results. Total revenue for this segment climbed to $2.5 billion, a 16% increase compared to the second quarter of 2025. Despite a residential market constrained by low transaction volumes, the unit achieved an adjusted pre-tax margin of 17.8%. Commercial operations provided a significant lift, with commercial revenue jumping 32% over the prior-year quarter.

F&G Annuities & Life, the company’s majority-owned subsidiary, reached record assets under management of $74.7 billion. While the segment's adjusted net earnings of $65 million were lower than the $89 million reported in the second quarter of 2025, the business maintained disciplined sales and capital allocation. Fidelity National Financial returned approximately $195 million to shareholders during the quarter through dividends and share repurchases, keeping total capital returns for the first half of 2026 at roughly $417 million.
