Park Slope Leads 2026 List of Hottest U.S. Luxury Neighborhoods

With a median sale price of $1.77 million, Brooklyn’s Park Slope has emerged as the most sought-after luxury market of 2026. According to a new Redfin report, high-end demand remains resilient in select zip codes, even as the broader national housing market struggles with tepid growth and uncertain economic conditions.

The analysis, which tracks listing views and competition scores across the 100 most populous U.S. metro areas, highlights a distinct divide in the current real estate landscape. While many regions face stagnant activity, affluent buyers are aggressively pursuing homes in neighborhoods defined by top-tier schools, proximity to urban hubs, and limited inventory. Highland Park, Illinois, and Overland Park, Kansas, followed Park Slope to round out the top three rankings.

Redfin Senior Economist Asad Khan notes that the trend is driven by a chronic supply shortage in prestigious pockets, where competition persists despite high mortgage rates. In San Francisco’s Noe Valley, which secured the seventh spot, demand is bolstered by highly compensated employees in the AI sector. The data suggests that for these high-end buyers, the appeal of established infrastructure and lifestyle amenities outweighs the cooling trends seen elsewhere in the country.
