Chairman and CEO David Lamb attributed the rebound to normalized business growth and a disciplined approach to lending. The company saw its loan portfolio expand by $21 million, while deposits rose by $29 million, bolstered by the bank's municipal banking platform and commercial finance division. Oxford Commercial Finance leases reached a record $147 million by the end of June, signaling sustained demand for the bank’s specialized financing products.
Financial performance was further supported by a widening net interest margin, which reached 4.97% as asset yields climbed to 7.15%. While the bank faces costs associated with managing legacy nonperforming assets, management emphasized that these investments are targeted at long-term risk reduction. Total assets grew to $930.5 million, and shareholders' equity increased to $113.5 million, reflecting a book value per share of $45.58. Looking ahead, the bank intends to leverage its strong capital position to pursue strategic funding channels as it balances growth with credit quality standards.
