Pep Boys Marks 105 Years With Nationwide Founder’s Day Promotions

Philadelphia-based automotive chain Pep Boys is celebrating its 105th anniversary this week, transitioning from a single storefront founded in 1921 to a sprawling network of nearly 800 locations. The company is marking the milestone by rolling out a series of service discounts and free towing offers across the United States.

To honor the company’s history, CEO Joe Auriemma stated that the brand remains committed to the core values of trust and safety established by founders Manny, Moe, and Jack. As part of the anniversary, the company has launched a redesigned website that brings the iconic trio of mascots back to the forefront of the digital customer experience.

The promotional period, running from July 31 through August 9, 2026, includes several consumer incentives. Drivers can receive $105 off qualifying services of $500 or more, alongside specific tire purchase deals for brands including Goodyear, Pirelli, and Michelin. Additionally, the company is offering a $25 discount on full synthetic oil changes. Beyond these retail offers, Pep Boys is providing free base towing for light-duty vehicles throughout the entire month of August, covering the first 10 miles for domestic customers and waiving base fees for those in Puerto Rico.

These anniversary initiatives serve as a strategic push for the brand, which continues to operate as a major service provider for both individual motorists and commercial fleets. With a workforce that includes a large number of ASE-certified technicians, the company aims to modernize its digital footprint while maintaining the legacy of its century-old foundation.
