The company’s performance highlights a notable recovery, with net income reaching $26.8 million, or $1.55 per diluted share, a sharp rebound from the $66.6 million loss recorded in the same period last year. Adjusted EBITDA climbed 13% to $85.2 million, supported by a 7% rise in sales volumes. CEO Joe Berquist noted that the company achieved its fourth consecutive quarter of profitability growth despite steady demand being tested by regional conflicts, including instability in the Strait of Hormuz.
Operational success was consistent across major regions. The Asia/Pacific and EMEA segments led the charge with double-digit sales growth, while the Americas region saw a 7% increase. To bolster shareholder confidence, the company hiked its quarterly dividend by 4.3% and initiated a new $250 million stock repurchase program, following the buyback of $24.2 million in shares during the quarter. Looking ahead, management expects stable demand through the remainder of the year, focusing on margin stabilization as raw material costs and inventory movements normalize.
