The company’s performance reflects a broader shift in manufacturing requirements, with operating margins climbing to 37.4% on a U.S. GAAP basis. President and CEO Tim Archer attributed the results to strategic technology leadership, noting that the firm is well-positioned for its third consecutive year of outperformance. Systems revenue, encompassing leading-edge deposition and etch equipment, reached $4.25 billion, while customer support and related services contributed $2.47 billion to the total.
Financial stability remains a priority, with cash and cash equivalents rising to $5.60 billion by the end of June. Looking ahead, Lam Research anticipates continued momentum, providing guidance for the September quarter that points toward revenue of $8.10 billion. Despite geopolitical and supply chain variables that could influence future outcomes, the company continues to serve as a critical supplier for nearly every advanced chip currently in production.
