The company’s quarterly performance reflects a broader recovery, with EBITDA margins widening to 12.5% compared to 8.5% in the same period last year. This growth was driven by higher capacity utilization and pricing discipline across its manufacturing network. While the firm reported a net loss of ₹69 crore, this represents a 32% improvement over the ₹102 crore loss recorded in Q1 FY26, excluding exceptional items.
Chairperson Nandini Piramal attributed the positive momentum to mid-to-high teens growth across all three business segments. The CDMO unit saw increased RFP activity and order inflows, while the Consumer Healthcare division benefited from a 23% year-on-year growth in "Power Brands" and a 40% surge in e-commerce sales. Piramal continues to focus on integration efforts for its Kenalog product line, with supply expected to commence in the second quarter. Furthermore, the firm’s Sellersville facility recently secured an Establishment Inspection Report from the US FDA, maintaining the company's zero-OAI status.
