Blackbaud Forecasts Strong Finish to 2026 Following Q2 Growth

Blackbaud reported a 3% increase in total revenue for the second quarter of 2026, reaching $290.6 million. With steady financial performance through June, the Charleston-based software provider reaffirmed its full-year guidance and expects to land in the upper half of its projected ranges for key profitability and cash flow metrics.

CEO Mike Gianoni attributed the company's momentum to aggressive investment in artificial intelligence, particularly through the firm's Agents for Good™ suite. The company’s recurring revenue remains a cornerstone of its business model, accounting for 98.2% of total revenue for the quarter. GAAP net income rose to $35.4 million, with diluted earnings per share reaching $0.79, compared to $0.55 in the same period last year.

Operational efficiency remains a priority for the leadership team as they scale their AI-first platform. CFO Chad Anderson noted that the company continues to prioritize shareholder value through systematic share repurchases, having bought back just over 6% of its stock so far this year. Looking ahead, Blackbaud maintains its full-year revenue target of $1.173 billion to $1.179 billion, supported by a 41% Rule of 40 score, which measures the balance between growth and profitability.
