Modine Surpasses 2030 Sustainability Milestones Early

Modine has reached its 2030 energy and water intensity reduction targets four years ahead of schedule, according to the company’s 2026 Sustainability Report. The Racine-based thermal management firm confirmed these environmental gains while signaling a pivot toward new, more aggressive benchmarks for its evolving business model.

The report, titled Purpose-Driven Engineering, highlights a sustained reduction in greenhouse gas emissions across Scope 1 and Scope 2, measured against a 2018 baseline. To bolster the credibility of these figures, the company secured independent limited assurance on its emissions data for the first time. This shift underscores a broader strategic transformation, as the firm integrates artificial intelligence into both its product design and operational workflows to meet rising demand in the data center and commercial HVAC&R sectors.

Neil D. Brinker, President and CEO, noted that the company is refining its portfolio to focus on high-growth infrastructure markets. Erin J. Roth, who oversees the corporate sustainability program, attributed the early achievement of these environmental goals to the collective output of the company’s 13,000 global employees. As the organization moves past its initial 2030 goals, leadership is currently developing updated metrics to reflect its current market position and the ongoing demand for efficient thermal management technology.
