Cristiano Ronaldo Targets Scripted TV With New Drama Project

Cristiano Ronaldo is pivoting toward the television industry, reportedly teaming up with director Matthew Vaughn to executive produce and star in a new scripted drama. Titled “Day 1s,” the series shifts the focus from the pitch to the high-stakes boardroom, pulling back the curtain on the world of professional football agents.

The project represents the latest venture for UR•Marv Studios, the production company Ronaldo and Vaughn established last year. While the series centers on the fictional character Stanley Dalton—played by Damian Lewis—it aims for authenticity by featuring cameos from football icons like Thierry Henry and British rapper Dave. Created by real-life agent Darren Dein, the narrative explores the often-opaque negotiations, transfer deals, and endorsement strategies that dictate the trajectories of the sport’s biggest stars.

This move into entertainment complements an expansive business portfolio that already spans the Pestana CR7 hotel chain, fitness centers, and strategic investments in health platforms like Pro2col. Beyond his off-field interests, Ronaldo remains active on the pitch, recently extending his contract with the Saudi Pro League’s Al-Nassr through 2027. His future with the Portuguese national team, however, remains a subject of speculation following the 2026 World Cup, as the 41-year-old weighs the next chapter of his career.
