The funding round, led by the Bpifrance-managed Ecotechnologies 2 fund, brings Syntetica’s total capital raised to $38 million. Additional support came from SWEN Capital Partners, EQT Ventures, and private family offices representing Peugeot, Etam, and Indorama Ventures. The company specializes in a singular process capable of recycling both Nylon 6 and Nylon 6,6, materials previously viewed as too complex to recover economically.
Syntetica will direct the new capital toward a demonstration plant developed in collaboration with Michelin’s Centre for Sustainable Materials in Clermont-Ferrand. This facility aims to process hundreds of tonnes of textile waste annually, shifting the company’s focus toward industrial production. Current partnerships with brands like Victoria’s Secret and Etam signal significant industry interest in closing the loop on textile waste streams that have historically been discarded.
