Cumberland Packaging Migrates Operations to Amtech's Encore ERP

Operating from its headquarters in Southend-on-Sea, Cumberland Packaging produces a diverse range of corrugated and solid board materials, foam, and polystyrene. After four decades in the industry, the company sought a digital upgrade to maintain its reputation for reliable, on-time delivery. Management evaluated several competing platforms before settling on Encore, citing the software’s specific design for the packaging industry as the decisive factor.

John Watson, Managing Director at Cumberland Packaging, noted that the transition aims to modernize business workflows and provide staff with more robust operational tools. For Amtech, the deal represents a foothold in the UK corrugated market, complementing its existing presence among regional label manufacturers. Chuck Schneider, CEO of Amtech Software, described the move as a significant step in scaling the company’s footprint across the UKI region while supporting Cumberland’s long-term growth objectives.
