First Horizon Bank Receives Inaugural United Way Trailblazer Award

United Way of the Mid-South has named First Horizon Bank one of three recipients of its first-ever 2025 Community Trailblazer Award. The honor highlights the bank’s sustained contributions to local neighborhoods through structured corporate giving, employee-led fundraising campaigns, and consistent volunteerism across the Memphis region.

The recognition underscores a long-standing collaboration between the financial institution and the nonprofit. Beyond standard workplace giving, First Horizon maintains a seat on the United Way of the Mid-South Board of Directors and provides year-round sponsorship support. Tomeka Hart-Wigginton, CEO of the nonprofit, credited the bank for its deep-rooted commitment to the organization’s mission.

Bo Allen, Mid-South Regional President for First Horizon, emphasized that the award validates the bank’s philosophy that local progress requires a unified front between private enterprise and nonprofit sectors. Headquartered in Memphis, the bank manages $84.1 billion in assets and currently serves clients across 12 southern states.
