According to Minkoff, producers had already reached a similar conclusion and requested he not attend. She noted that her concerns were fueled by previous social media interactions where she alleged Wiley had lied about her.

The situation surrounding the former Buffalo Bills star has intensified significantly since his arrest over the July 4th weekend in Orlando. Police reports allege Wiley poked his wife in the cheek and threatened her life during a dispute in a hotel room. Following his release on a $1,000 bond, Annemarie filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. Her court filing details a history of alleged physical, sexual, and financial abuse, while also requesting sole physical custody of their children.

Beyond domestic charges, Wiley faces a $500,000 lawsuit from Preferred Bank, which alleges he defaulted on a business loan. In a public statement issued July 7, Wiley denied his estranged wife's accusations, characterizing them as leverage in their divorce proceedings. He further alleged that Annemarie had engaged in erratic behavior, including practicing voodoo against his family and supporters. Wiley stated he intends to contest the remaining allegations through legal channels while maintaining his focus on his children.
