The HSAutoLink G system builds on a portfolio that has shipped over 700 million units since 2008. By maintaining USCAR compatibility, Molex aims to provide automakers with a drop-in upgrade path that avoids the need for complete redesigns while addressing the signal integrity challenges of dense, high-speed environments. The connectors feature advanced electromagnetic interference shielding and controlled differential impedance to prevent signal failures during high-speed data transmission.
Min Kong, regional general manager for Connected Mobility Systems at Molex, noted that the system is engineered to help manufacturers navigate the performance bottlenecks inherent in the transition to software-defined vehicle architectures. Beyond speed, the hardware includes physical refinements such as an anti-stubbing terminal design to protect contacts during mating and a reversible housing shroud for routing flexibility. Molex is currently providing product samples to OEMs and tier-one suppliers, with a broader showcase scheduled for Electronica China 2026.
