V&V Supremo Wins Blue Ribbon at Wisconsin State Fair

Competing against a record-breaking field of over 500 entries, Chicago-based V&V Supremo Foods secured a first-place finish in the Latin American Cheese Category. The company’s Queso Blanco Del Caribe brand earned the top honor at the 2026 Wisconsin State Fair Dairy Products Contest, cementing its status in the industry.

The victory highlights a six-decade commitment to traditional craftsmanship and authentic flavor profiles. Dan O'Leary, Chief Executive Officer of V&V Supremo Foods, described the win at one of the nation’s most rigorous dairy evaluations as a significant milestone for the family-owned firm. The award-winning cheese will now headline the Wisconsin State Fair Blue Ribbon Dairy Products Auction scheduled for August 13.

Founded in 1964, the company remains the oldest family-owned Hispanic cheese producer in the United States. Beyond its award-winning Queso Blanco, the brand is widely recognized for its Chihuahua brand quesadilla cheese, cream, and chorizo offerings. This latest recognition underscores the company’s ongoing influence in the retail and foodservice sectors.
