In his new capacity, Dr. Prakash will provide high-level guidance on clinical pharmacology study design, human ADME programs, and PBPK modeling. His mandate focuses on refining quantitative decision-making for drug-drug interaction risk assessments and streamlining complex regulatory submissions, including IND, NDA, and MAA packages.
Dr. Prakash arrives at Frontage with a significant background in both academia and industry, having held leadership positions at Pfizer, Biogen, and Agios Pharmaceuticals, alongside academic appointments at Vanderbilt and the University of Maryland. Beyond his corporate experience, he maintains a prolific research record with nearly 300 peer-reviewed publications and currently serves as editor-in-chief for Current Drug Metabolism and Drug Metabolism Letters. Dr. Abdul Mutlib, Chief Strategy and Scientific Officer at Frontage, noted that the move is intended to deepen the firm's scientific rigor as they scale support for biopharmaceutical partners worldwide.
