New Frontier Minerals ramps up Harts Range exploration

With only six of 46 identified targets drill-tested to date, NFM Minerals is deploying field teams back to the Northern Territory this July to accelerate work at the Harts Range project. The company aims to systematically validate its remaining high-priority sites, focusing on heavy rare earths and niobium deposits.

Geological assessment will prioritize the Kings Cross, Bank, and Cusp prospects, where early rock chip samples and reverse circulation drilling have already surfaced encouraging tungsten mineralization. Chairman Gerrard Hall noted that the company’s strategic landholding remains a core asset, bolstered by recent independent research from Litchfield Minerals. That study, supported by BHP Xplor, has reframed the Harts Range as a district-scale copper-nickel-PGE mineral system, aligning with NFM’s long-standing assessment of the region's geological potential.

The renewed activity marks a decisive push to unlock the value of a project portfolio that spans Australia and Canada. As the global demand for critical minerals grows, NFM continues to position its assets—including the Pomme REE project in Quebec and the NWQ Copper project in Queensland—to meet the requirements of the ongoing energy transition.
