McCurry’s transition follows a long career in public infrastructure, where he most recently served as Chief Administrative Officer for the Georgia Ports Authority. During his two decades there, he managed diverse portfolios ranging from risk management and government affairs to large-scale capital projects. Bill Sorenson, CEO of Heritage Capital Group, noted that McCurry’s arrival bolsters the firm’s ability to provide high-impact advisory services by leveraging his deep familiarity with the logistics ecosystem.
Beyond his port-related expertise, McCurry brings a background in commercial execution from his earlier roles at Brasseler USA, where he managed national sales and product launches. He holds a degree in Business Administration from Furman University and a Master of Science in Transportation Management from the University of Denver. Currently, he maintains a significant presence in the regional business community, serving as board chair for the Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce and contributing to various civic organizations including United Way of the Coastal Empire.
