On a recent episode of the Joe Vulpis Podcast, Musso reflected on the trio that defined his youth: himself, Cyrus, and Emily Osment. He likened their time on the set to a condensed academic experience, noting they essentially graduated together. Beyond the 98 episodes and the feature film, the group spent their downtime snowboarding and hanging out at a house in Tennessee, forming a tight-knit clique with endless inside jokes.
Musso’s warm recollections stand in contrast to his recent criticism of the show's 20th anniversary special. While he expressed disappointment that he was not involved, he clarified that the production was not presented in a way that felt right to him. Osment, who also did not appear in the special, cited scheduling conflicts but shared a heartfelt tribute to the series, crediting the show for teaching her discipline and timing during her formative years. Musso remains protective of his history with the cast, even after publicly disputing Cyrus’s claims last year regarding alleged on-set behavior, preferring to focus on the enduring connection they built as teenagers.
