Jonathan Majors Returns in Polarizing Daily Wire Thriller

Jonathan Majors is mounting his Hollywood comeback with a lead role in the action thriller Run Hide Fight: Infidels, a project produced by Ben Shapiro’s The Daily Wire. The film, which depicts a violent takeover of a college campus by extremists, has sparked immediate public backlash following the actor's 2023 assault conviction.

The film’s trailer, released this week, intercuts scenes of fictionalized terror with real-world footage, including clips from 9/11 and the 2024 Gaza-related college protests. Majors stars as a Delta Force veteran tasked with saving a liberal campus from a makeshift caliphate. The plot—which explicitly targets "woke" culture and "pro-Palestine encampments"—has drawn intense scrutiny on social media, with critics labeling the project a desperate attempt to salvage a stalled career. One Reddit user noted the sharp decline from his previous status as a central Marvel antagonist to this politically charged production.

Production of the film has been marked by friction beyond the casting choices. In April, an on-set stunt involving Majors and co-star JC Kilcoyne resulted in a crew walkout and union picketing by the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees after concerns over safety protocols. Producer Dallas Sonnier dismissed the labor dispute, publicly mocking the union representatives. This project serves as Majors' first major role since his firing from the Marvel Cinematic Universe following his conviction for third-degree assault and harassment against his former partner, Grace Jabbari. As part of his sentencing, the actor was ordered to complete a 52-week batterer’s intervention program.
