The A321neo joins the AZAL fleet as part of a 2024 agreement that encompasses a total of six aircraft, including three A320neo jets. With the first two A320neos already in service, the remaining units are slated for delivery through November 2026.
Peter Anderson, Chief Commercial Officer at AerCap, noted that the induction of these fuel-efficient jets is intended to support the airline's network growth and modernize its existing operations. Jamil Manizade, his counterpart at Azerbaijan Airlines, described the addition as a key milestone in the company's long-term modernization plan, emphasizing that the new hardware will allow the carrier to meet evolving passenger demand while maintaining its commitment to sustainability.
