The roadshow highlighted the growing economic integration between the two regions, with air cargo volume reaching 23,400 tons—nearly a quarter of Hangzhou’s total Europe-bound freight. During the event, organizers unveiled the Hungary Overseas Service Station of the National Artificial Intelligence Application Pilot Base, signaling a shift toward collaborative research in embodied intelligence.
Hangzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce Director General Wang Yongfang emphasized the expo's role as China’s only national-level event dedicated to digital trade. The upcoming 5th edition, scheduled for late September at the Hangzhou Grand Convention and Exhibition Center, will feature over 100 emerging tech firms, a specialized token-themed zone, and the debut of Unitree Robotics’ rideable mecha. Beyond hardware, the event will host the UN Commission on International Trade Law to address the governance of cross-border e-commerce platforms, aiming to formalize the Hangzhou Initiative on Guiding Principles.
