Trucker Path Integrates CargoNet Data to Combat Rising Theft

The collaboration embeds a theft cloud overlay directly into the Trucker Path app, allowing commercial drivers to visualize risk ratings by county. Users can now filter routes based on high, medium, or low-risk segments while accessing specific data on stolen vehicle counts, commodity targets, and common theft subtypes. This visibility is designed to influence routing decisions before drivers enter vulnerable logistics corridors or high-traffic stop points.

California, Texas, and New Jersey currently lead the nation in theft activity, with warehouse centers and truck stops serving as the most frequent targets. According to Chris Oliver, CMO at Trucker Path, the goal is to transform passive navigation into a proactive security tool. Ryan Shepherd, general manager of Verisk CargoNet, noted that as risks become increasingly tied to specific geographic environments, integrating this intelligence directly into the cab closes a critical visibility gap for fleet operators.
