Administrators Cheryl Tweedy and music industry lawyer Richard Bray now hold broader powers than the limited grant they received last year, which previously restricted them to merely preserving the assets.
This shift allows the estate to fund Bear’s education and daily needs before he reaches adulthood, with the remaining capital placed into a trust. Despite speculation regarding potential claims from Payne’s partner at the time of his death, Kate Cassidy, there has been no indication of any legal challenge. Under probate rules, such claims must typically be filed within six months of the Letters of Administration being granted.
