The project, executed by systems integrator Opus Integration, provides operators with immediate visibility into equipment status and performance. Modern interlock objects now allow staff to identify production bottlenecks in real time, removing the need for complex code analysis or external support calls. This shift marks a transition for a company that has produced spirits for over 90 years, moving from traditional manual oversight to a data-rich environment.
Beyond immediate efficiency gains, the infrastructure serves as a foundation for long-term evolution. Operators can now analyze historical production trends to refine processes and detect anomalies. Don Ault, CEO of Opus Integration, noted that the system provides the necessary security and real-time data to support the company’s current output while preparing for upcoming AI-focused roles. Heaven Hill is already developing internal teams dedicated to interpreting the production data generated by the new control architecture.
