The country’s technology sector now accounts for 7% of its GDP, fueled by nearly 3,000 companies and 26,000 professionals. In 2025, the Moldova Innovation Technology Park saw its resident firms exceed $1 billion in aggregate revenue. Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu emphasized that the nation aims to compete through specialized talent rather than sheer size, positioning the digital transition as a core pillar of national resilience.
Moldova has already digitized 78% of public services for businesses, a move that saved the economy EUR 44 million and over 9 million man-hours in 2025. This infrastructure now supports the launch of EVO 2.0, an integrated government application compliant with European digital identity standards. Looking toward physical expansion, the government announced plans for the Moldova HiTech Park, a 50-hectare campus near the capital expected to draw over €200 million in investment for nanotechnology and health-tech development.
