The E5 PLUS RHD serves as the centerpiece of a broader portfolio renewal, utilizing the SERES Super Hybrid System to achieve a combined range of up to 1,200 kilometers. To compete effectively in the region, DFSK has integrated a driver assistance suite featuring 22 sensing units and 5mm-wave radars, alongside software localized for Hong Kong, Thai, Indonesian, Malay, and Vietnamese users. These adaptations extend to the infotainment interface, which now supports Traditional Chinese and regional connectivity applications.
DFSK President Amy Gong emphasized that the vehicle represents a shift toward deeper local integration. Beyond the hardware, the company is leveraging production facilities in Indonesia and Vietnam to shorten supply chains. The rollout is supported by a new global service framework that standardizes spare parts availability and technical support, aiming to move the brand beyond its traditional commercial vehicle roots into the competitive new energy passenger car segment.
