The project requires a specialized technical approach to withstand Chile’s distinct climatic and geographical challenges. By providing an integrated package of supply, logistics, and installation, SANY is leveraging its experience in transoceanic delivery to secure the contract. This move follows a broader push by the company to expand its global footprint, which has included establishing regional subsidiaries across Europe, Africa, and Central and South Asia since 2022.
SANY’s international growth relies on a vast infrastructure network, currently comprising 17 manufacturing bases outside China, 900 service sites, and 1,000 parts warehouses. The company’s technical capacity is anchored by high-end facilities, such as its smart blade manufacturing lighthouse factory and a 35 MW full-system test bench. Beyond wind energy, the group is scaling its presence in the heavy equipment sector, recently commissioning a 400-tonne hydraulic mining excavator for overseas operations. These developments underscore a shift toward end-to-end delivery models in competitive high-end markets.
