The momentum began with a well-attended preview on June 9, followed by a series of lectures designed to deepen collector engagement before the bidding commenced. In the Fine Art category, an Edouard Cortes painting, Rue Royale en Hiver, drew significant interest to fetch $22,800, while an oil on board attributed to Bob Thompson realized $18,600.
Fine jewelry offerings maintained this pace the following day. An Art Deco diamond and sapphire bracelet emerged as the top performer at $19,800, closely followed by a 2.59-carat diamond ring by Marcus & Co. that sold for $17,400. The week concluded with the Decorative Art Auction, where two bronzes by Dave McGary set the high-water mark for the event: Symphonies of the Heart sold for $43,200, and Star Gazers brought in $40,800.
Beyond sculpture, the rare book and ceramics markets saw notable activity. A first illustrated edition of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein achieved $14,400, while a Daisy Makeig-Jones for Wedgwood Fairyland Lustre Willow Vase realized $6,000. Brian Kuebler, the director of decorative arts, sculpture, and ceramics, noted that the results reflect successful outcomes across multiple collecting categories.
