The imprint takes its name from Muhammad Ali’s iconic "butterfly" imagery, paired with the bee to signify the hard work and perseverance he championed. Khaliah Ali intends for the project to serve as a continuation of her father’s advocacy, specifically addressing the barriers faced by children with learning differences. The launch title, Float Like a Butterfly, Learn Like Me, features rhythmic storytelling designed to empower children to view their unique challenges as potential strengths.
Forefront Books CEO Jonathan Merkh noted that the collaboration aligns with the publisher’s focus on impactful storytelling. For Ali, the mission is deeply personal, rooted in the belief that children who learn differently deserve to feel both seen and capable of achievement. The debut book is scheduled to reach major retailers in Spring 2027.
