The partnership marks a strategic expansion of The Wisory’s University Program, which provides dedicated due diligence tools to academic-affiliated venture capital and angel groups. IU Ventures plans to leverage the platform to standardize its investment reviews, replacing fragmented assessment methods with a repeatable process designed for lean teams. The initiative is spearheaded by Jason Whitney, Managing Partner of The Wisory’s Private Capital Practice and a former Chief Venture Officer at IU Ventures, whose institutional knowledge is expected to bridge the gap between academic innovation and commercial scalability.
Tony Armstrong, President and CEO of IU Ventures, noted that the platform offers a dual advantage: increasing the speed of deal flow processing while providing founders with actionable feedback to strengthen their operations. By utilizing IntelliQ-U’s data-driven insights, the fund intends to dedicate more time to high-value mentorship while maintaining high confidence levels during the vetting of early-stage companies. This collaboration targets the broader Indiana University network, including alumni, researchers, and students, to ensure that promising ventures receive the necessary capital and strategic guidance to navigate competitive markets.
