Natural Grocers expands in Oregon with new McMinnville storefront

Natural Grocers will plant its 15th Oregon flag in McMinnville on July 1, 2026, opening a new retail space at 448 OR-99W. The family-operated chain aims to integrate into the Willamette Valley’s agricultural landscape, pairing its expansion with a $2,500 donation to the Yamhill Community Action Partnership Food Bank.

The new facility, situated near the intersection of Pacific Highway West and Northwest 19th Street, features sustainable design elements including LED lighting and non-toxic building materials. To mark the launch, the store will host a series of opening-day incentives, including mystery gift cards for early arrivals and a prize wheel. Local muralist Natalie Fletcher has decorated the building’s exterior, creating a visual tribute to the region's vineyards, orchards, and local agriculture.

Beyond the opening festivities, the company plans to establish a long-term presence through its Bring Your Own Bag program, which provides ongoing financial support to the YCAP food pantry network. Store leadership emphasizes that the McMinnville location will offer the chain's standard inventory of organic produce and pasture-based dairy, while also serving as a hub for nutritional education and community-focused wellness initiatives.
