Rowan University Taps eCampus.com for Digital Bookstore Overhaul

Beginning in Fall 2026, Rowan University will overhaul its course material procurement by launching a customized digital bookstore platform. The partnership with eCampus.com aims to replace traditional procurement methods with a streamlined, technology-driven system designed to lower costs and improve accessibility for the university's 24,500 students.

The new digital storefront integrates directly with student records through Single Sign-On, allowing learners to view personalized material lists tailored specifically to their enrolled courses. Beyond simplified ordering, the platform offers flexible delivery options and a marketplace featuring third-party sellers to drive competitive pricing on textbooks and digital rentals.

Faculty members will manage their requirements through the FAST adoption system, which provides real-time visibility into pricing and available formats. By centralizing this workflow, the university seeks to reduce administrative overhead while ensuring students receive their materials before the term begins. Rowan President Ali A. Houshmand noted the initiative prioritizes a student-centered approach, while eCampus.com CEO Matt Montgomery emphasized the goal of creating a more flexible and affordable academic environment.
