The project draws from DEVA ZAN, an art universe Amano initiated in 2010 that has since grown to include over 300 original works. The upcoming series promises to blend Amano’s signature hand-drawn style with high-stakes action, pitting heroes against cosmic threats in a narrative that traverses time and space. Production is currently underway, supported by a coalition of veteran Japanese animators and the Tokyo-based IP firm TWIN PLANET Co., Ltd.
Beyond animation, Yoshitaka Amano Inc. is scaling its operations to manage the artist's global footprint. This includes the international rollout of AMANO, a multi-sensory exhibition tour scheduled to reach the United States, Europe, and Asia starting in 2027. These venues will move beyond traditional gallery displays to offer immersive installations and exclusive merchandise, developed in partnership with MEDICOM TOY Corporation and logistics provider Milestone Inc. By centralizing these efforts in Los Angeles, the company aims to transform Amano’s decades of work—ranging from his early Tatsunoko Production designs to his iconic Final Fantasy contributions—into a cohesive global entertainment franchise.
