Since its launch in 2021, the event has evolved from an ambitious concept into a central hub for retailers, brands, and technology providers. Matt Bradley, director and founder of the show, noted that the industry recognition validates the team's early vision despite initial skepticism. Marketing lead Lee Allen emphasized that the award reflects the collective effort of exhibitors, sponsors, and the broader retail community that has supported the gathering over the past five years.
Following this recognition, organizers are shifting focus toward the next iteration of the event, scheduled for April 21–22, 2027, at London Excel. Meanwhile, the broader retail innovation landscape continues to be tracked through initiatives like the 2026 RTIH Innovation Awards. These awards, currently open for entries, aim to highlight omnichannel advancements, with winners set to be announced on November 4 at The HAC in Central London. This follows a record-breaking 2025 ceremony that saw significant growth in both attendance and submission quality.
