NAMM NeXT Summit Gathers Global Music Industry Leaders in Amsterdam

Senior executives from the global music products sector gathered at the Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel on June 10-11 for the second NAMM NeXT Europe summit. The event aimed to bridge gaps between manufacturing, retail, and education, fostering strategic collaboration to navigate evolving economic trends and promote future music-making.

The summit attracted key industry players, including representatives from C.F. Martin Guitar, Taylor Guitars Europe, Thomann, and the Adam Hall Group. Discussions centered on the intersection of artificial intelligence, shifting consumer behavior, and the necessity of adapting to a complex geopolitical landscape. Marcel Messner, CEO of GEWA Music, noted that bringing manufacturers and the education sector to the same table addressed a long-standing disconnect in the European market.

Experts provided outlooks on the European economy and trade policies, emphasizing the impact of global supply chain shifts on the music industry. Beyond these high-level briefings, participants engaged in specialized working groups focused on commercial growth, retail strategies, and live event production. This collaborative framework is designed to generate actionable insights that sustain long-term innovation. Following the success in Amsterdam, the organization plans to expand the NeXT platform to South America, with a summit scheduled for November 2026 in São Paulo, Brazil.
