Utilities across 12 states will convene June 24 at 3 p.m. EST as the Southeast Energy Exchange Market hosts its annual gathering of participants and stakeholders. The session, which precedes a formal board meeting, focuses on the automated platform that optimizes regional power transmission capacity.
The meeting will be broadcast via a live webcast, with registration required for all interested parties to secure access. A replay of the proceedings will be hosted on the organization's official website following the event. Since its 2022 debut, the platform has facilitated energy transactions through 15-minute intervals, allowing participants to utilize idle transmission capacity without additional charges.Currently, the market serves a network of roughly two dozen utilities stretching from Florida to Missouri. These members represent a combined generation capacity exceeding 180,000 megawatts, supporting power delivery for millions of customers across the region.
