Grey Wind Capital has finalized the acquisition of F. G. Sullivan, merging the Lancaster-based driller with its existing Maher Services platform to create a dominant water infrastructure provider in New England. The move signals a broader effort to professionalize a historically fragmented regional market through scale and centralized management.

The combined entity, headquartered in North Reading, Massachusetts, serves utility, commercial, and industrial clients across the region. While Maher Services joined the Grey Wind portfolio in August 2025, the integration of F. G. Sullivan on June 1, 2026, marks the latest step in a deliberate consolidation strategy. Both businesses will continue to operate under their established brand names.

Co-CEOs Daniel Chase and Laurent Firlotte will oversee the expanded operations. Chase emphasized that the platform is designed to provide a more capable partner for complex water infrastructure projects, while Firlotte noted that the strategy specifically addresses a lack of reliability and scale in the current market. For the workforce, Peter Maher, President of Services at Maher Services, stated that the partnership provides the necessary capital to invest in personnel and broaden the company's service offerings.
