Sentra Links Data Governance to Claude Enterprise for Real-Time Risk Oversight

As enterprise adoption of Claude surged to nearly 95% in the past year, security teams have faced a mounting challenge: monitoring sensitive data within AI conversations. Sentra is addressing this by integrating its classification engine with Anthropic’s Compliance API to map data exposure risks in real time.

The integration connects Sentra’s continuous discovery platform to Claude Enterprise, enabling IT departments to track file uploads and prompts against a pre-existing inventory of sensitive corporate data. By feeding activity logs directly into Sentra’s governance framework, the system transforms raw usage signals into actionable risk assessments. Security teams no longer rely on blind logs; they receive alerts that specify exactly what data is involved, its sensitivity level, and whether its use violates regulatory standards.

Yoav Regev, CEO and Co-Founder of Sentra, noted that AI significantly expands the corporate attack surface. Because AI models can synthesize vast amounts of internal data, existing permission gaps or over-privileged identities now pose immediate threats. This integration extends the company's protection into the AI conversation layer, ensuring that legacy governance policies remain effective as staff interact with LLMs.

The timing of this rollout aligns with intensifying global scrutiny of AI usage. With Netskope reporting that GenAI data violations have more than doubled year-over-year and the EU AI Act now mandating strict oversight of personal data, the need for automated compliance is critical. For current Sentra clients, deployment takes under 30 minutes, while new users can establish a classified data foundation across petabyte-scale estates in 72 hours.
