Shashank Samant, the architect behind GlobalLogic’s $10 billion sale to Hitachi, has joined the board of directors at Tredence. His appointment arrives as the AI firm shifts focus from experimental models to the deployment of agentic decision intelligence, aiming to bridge the gap between data science and tangible corporate outcomes.
Samant brings three decades of experience in scaling technology enterprises across 20 countries. His track record includes board roles at Mercedes-Benz, Hilti Corporation, and Hitachi Energy. According to Tredence CEO Shub Bhowmick, Samant’s involvement follows several months of strategic collaboration, positioning him to guide the company through its next phase of global expansion. The firm is currently pushing into markets across Europe, the Middle East, and Australia while maintaining its core presence in the United States.Tredence distinguishes its market approach by focusing on the 'last mile' of AI implementation—the point where data insights meet operational decision-making. As the industry pivots toward Agentic Decision Intelligence, the company is leveraging its 4,200-person workforce to integrate AI into enterprise workflows. Samant noted that modern leaders are moving away from mere technology procurement, preferring partners capable of delivering verified business results. With his background in private equity and large-scale digital engineering, Samant will assist in scaling these category-defining solutions for the firm’s international client base.
