Quantum Simulation Firm BQP Adds NUAIR CEO to Board

Craig Marcinkowski, the newly appointed CEO of NUAIR and a veteran of the defense technology sector, has joined the board of directors at quantum simulation startup BQP. Craig Marcinkowski, the newly appointed CEO of NUAIR and a veteran of the defense technology sector, has joined the board of directors at quantum simulation startup BQP. The move arrives as the Syracuse-based firm scales its mission-critical digital twin operations across the U.S. aerospace and semiconductor markets.

Marcinkowski brings over 25 years of experience in sensor integration and unmanned aircraft systems, having held leadership roles at Lockheed Martin, Saab, and SRC Inc. His transition to the BQP board follows his recent appointment as head of NUAIR, where he oversees the organization's strategic growth. His expertise is expected to bridge the gap between BQP’s high-level quantum-inspired simulations and the practical requirements of public safety and defense infrastructure.

BQP’s flagship platform, BQPhy®, aims to resolve computational bottlenecks in fluid dynamics and machine learning by utilizing current computing infrastructure rather than waiting for future quantum hardware. This approach has already attracted collaborations with the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory, NVIDIA, and IBM. According to BQP founder and CEO Abhishek Chopra, Marcinkowski’s background in commercializing defense-adjacent technologies will be instrumental as the company expands its footprint among Tier-I aerospace and automotive partners.
