Aton Health Secures Series A Funding to Expand Research Integration

Kansas City-based Aton Health has closed a Series A growth investment led by Shore Search Partners to scale its research-integration technology. The company aims to move beyond gastroenterology, deploying its TrialSight and CareSight platforms to embed clinical research directly into routine patient workflows across new medical specialties.

The capital injection will facilitate the expansion of Aton’s infrastructure, which currently supports over 5,000 enrolled patients and screens tens of thousands more each month. By integrating research collection into standard practice, the firm seeks to bridge the gap between clinical care and medical data generation without disrupting physicians or their staff. Tom Sanders, CEO and Co-Founder of Aton Health, noted that the partnership validates the company's approach to making research more accessible and representative of broader patient populations. Cameron Perkins, a partner at Shore Search Partners, emphasized that the investment addresses a critical need to reduce operational burdens on providers while simultaneously increasing patient participation in innovative studies. Following this funding, Aton plans to prioritize technology development and team growth to support its broader market entry.
